Autowerkstatt German Auto Repair is a locally owned and operated European auto repair shop serving the Greater Seattle area. Founded and run by German immigrant John White, our shop is built on decades of hands-on experience with German engineering.

John White was born and raised in Germany, where he began his auto mechanic career with a rigorous three-year apprenticeship. Following his apprenticeship, he earned an associate’s degree in Auto Mechanics, further strengthening his technical expertise. He then advanced to a journeyman mechanic role at a Mercedes dealership in Germany, gaining valuable experience working directly with one of the most popular German brands.
In 2009, John brought his skills to the United States, where he continued working as a journeyman mechanic before becoming a master technician at a BMW and Mini dealership. Over the course of ten years, he refined his specialization in European vehicles. John eventually decided to use his expertise to open his own auto repair shop, Autowerkstatt.
